THIS IS OUR FINAL OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE CHANGE BY REGISTERING NEW VOTERS! Registering voters has been the top priority in the Obama for America campaign, bringing more people into the political process. With close races around the country, even in parts of Tennessee, we want to show that Hamilton County can deliver the vote. The Obama campaign's coordinator in Chattanooga is Justin Wilkins. He has done a wonderful job, along with Sherrie Davis. Here is a note from Justin and Sherrie about the final voter registration drive: Please RSVP HERE! WHAT TO BRING/EXPECT VOTER REGISTRATION: You'll be going to businesses, parking lots, storefronts. You will probably have to approach 5-10 people for every voter registration you actually get. So to reach your goal you will need to approach lots of people - 50 per hour. This is the time to be your friendliest, most energetic self! You'll be in teams of 2 to 6 and sent to target locations around town. We'll give you directions and voter registration forms. We'll have some pens and clipboards but please bring your own if you can. (must be black pens). We'll start the day w/ a brief intro from and a quick Voter Registration training. We hope to get you out registering voters ASAP! MATERIALS: If you can, please bring a clipboard, black pen, water/snacks. We're trying to have some of that but it would be good to just have some in case. SCHEDULE 9:30 - 10:00 AM (Check-in/Register) 10:00 AM (Surrogate kick-off) 10:15 AM (Brief Training) 10:30 AM (Dispatch into teams) We'll be sending teams of volunteers to multiple voter registration targets throughout the county. Teams will moved around throughout the day depending on areas generating the greatest result.
