GREAT BUS TRIP TO NASHVILLE: ANDY BERKE SWORN IN AS SENATOR
My son and I joined some 40+ Democrats ~ men, women, and children ~ on a bus to Nashville to see Andy Berke sworn in as Senator for District 10 this past Wednesday. The trip was a success despite the fact that it fell on the day before Thanksgiving.
Other friends and family members drove up individually to Nashville to join the ceremony. In Nashville, a few senate colleagues also attended.
Andy Berke was sworn in by Tennessee Supreme Court Justice William Barker. Speaking to the audience of friends, family and supporters, Andy said that "we will all work together, and I am confident in our delegation, to do what we can for Hamilton County and Marion County."
After the swearing in, we joined Andy and his family at a local restaurant for lunch.
I want to thank Andy, his wife Monique, and his two daughters for all they have given up to serve the public and all they will do in the future.
