Our Party BlogHave your say about all things democraticNovember 19, 2008MAKE HISTORY AGAIN: HELP US ELECT JIM MARTIN TO THE U.S. SENATE
DEAR FRIENDS,There is an important run-off election happening right now and very close to home. Democrat Jim Martin is running for the US Senate in Georgia. The Obama Campaign for Change has taken a special interest in the race because, as most of you know, if Jim Martin wins this seat he might secure the 60th vote in the US Senate. With 60 votes Obama would have the support he needs to implement all the plans and policies that we all feel so strongly about quickly and decisively. YOU CAN HELP! A canvassing team will be leaving from the Democratic Party Headquarters at 23 Patten Parkway this Saturday, November 22nd, at 7:00 AM. We will go to Jim Martin's Gwinnett County Headquarters and leave from there to canvass in Gwinnett County. We will be visiting the homes of individuals who voted for Obama in the general election and encouraging them to get out and vote in the run off election. The Martin campaign is expecting that only 15% of registered voters in Atlanta will vote in the run off. Every vote counts. And as Obama proved in the general election there is no better way to get out the vote than with personal contact with the voters! If you would like to be a member of the canvass team, have any questions or need more information pleas contact Molly Cooper by email: mcooper@hallassoc.net. Let's thank our new President-Elect for the wisdom and guidance he has given us and work with him to get Jim Martin elected! Sincerely, John Bailes Hamilton County Democratic Party Chair Justin Wilkins Coordinator, Chattanoogans for Obama Molly Cooper, Annie Hall and Duffy Hudson Coordinators, Hamilton County "Get Out The Vote" This post has 4 replies... if you want to hear an interview with the press at augusta ga airport were he said the goverment will make money in the bail out 706 421 0945 its not the govt money ...and ignorance shows that voting in a candidate that uses Karl Rove-style tactics (Chambliss!) to get re-elected uses those same tactics to DEFRAUD the American public. I'll take a Martin over a Chambliss any day of the week. Don't need another 6 years of his sorry, tired face. Had enough of the sad, tired joker who defrauded us back in Florida 8 years ago. the supposed 'RETIRED STATE EMPLOYEE' must have his comment deleted for lying about being fired. Jim resigned his position to pursue higher office, as required by Georgia law. If only God could strike down those who sit behind a keyboard making lies. Hmmmm. Considering Martin was endorsed by the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, i think that about sums up how soft on crime Chambliss is. Way to go SAX, you have no credibility with even the police. PATHETIC! Post a Reply...
