YOU DID IT! YOU MADE HISTORY!
Dear Democrats,
It took time. It took energy. It took all of you.
It took you voting. It took you taking others to vote. It took calling voters. It took driving voters to the polls. It took knocking on doors.
And you did it! You made history!
You elected Barack Obama president of the United States of America.
You brought change to America.
And here in Hamilton County, you elected Andy Berke, JoAnne Favors, and Tommie Brown to the state legislature. More than 1,000 of you celebrated last night at the Chattanooga Choo Choo with us (click for Chattanooga Times Free Press video and click here for photos at Chattanoogan.Com).
I want to thank all of you for making history.

This post has 1 reply...When I look at the precinct voting results I am stunned byt he low voter turnout in precincts that I would have hoped would have carried Obama -- like Alton Park, Downtown and East Lake. I remember the enthusism when we registered voters in June at high school graduation ceremonies. I remember parents bringing their children over to register. What am I missing here?
